Volunteers

To guarantee an unforgettable Commemoration, the volunteers of the 15 August 1945 Commemoration Foundation are essential.

At the 15 August Commemoration, volunteer hosts/hostesses help attendees find their places and where necessary accompany them during the commemoration of the capitulation of Japan, which marked the end of the Second World War in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The commemoration takes place annually at the Indies Monument in The Hague.

The Commemoration Foundation works with a large number of volunteers, including students from the VCL and sea cadets from the Rotterdam Sea Cadet Corps.
